Becoming a PTA Member
Who should join PTA?
Parents, teachers, grandparents, students, school officials, aunties, uncles, community members, business people - everyone who cares about the education, health, and welfare of children can belong to the PTA.
How do I become a PTA member?
Just call your local public school. If they have a PTA, they will be able to tell you how to join. You can also contact the Hawai‘i State PTSA office at (808) 943-2042 or by email at [email protected] to find a PTA in your area. When you join a local PTA or PTSA, it includes membership in the Hawai‘i State PTSA and the National PTA.
What if my school doesn't have a PTA?
Contact the Hawai‘i State PTSA office at (808) 943-2042 or email: [email protected] to find out how to bring a PTA/PTSA to your school. We would be happy to assist you with the procedures to establish a PTA at your school.
Do I have to join a local unit to be a PTA member?
No. Hawai‘i State PTSA has the Aloha PTA that you can join. You will still receive all the benefits of being a PTA member at the state and national level. To become a member of the Aloha PTA, please complete and return the Aloha PTA Membership Form at https://hawaiiptsa.givebacks.com/products or contact us at [email protected].
