Our History
The Hawaii Congress of Parents, Teachers, and Students, also known as the Hawai‘i State PTSA, is the oldest and largest child advocacy organization in the State of Hawai‘i. Chartered in 1926 as the state affiliate to National PTA, we are comprised of thousands of parents and concerned individuals devoted to the educational success of children and promoting parent involvement in schools.
Hawai‘i State PTSA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and prides itself on being a powerful voice for children, a relevant resource for parents and care givers, and a strong advocate for public education. Membership in the Hawai‘i State PTSA is open to anyone who is concerned with the education, health, and welfare of children and youth.
