2026 Hawai'i State PTSA Board Elections
The 2026 Hawai'i State PTSA Board Elections, which were scheduled to be held at our
annual Convention on June 27th, have transitioned to a virtual format.
The Hawai'i State PTSA Board election will take place between June 28, 2026 and
June 30, 2026. Virtual electronic election procedures are posted below.
HAWAI'I STATE PTSA ELECTION PROCEDURES 2026
Since we were unable to conduct an in-person vote at the 2026 Hawaii State PTSA Convention, we have followed our voting procedures as closely as possible under the current guidelines. To do this we will be using a virtual voting format called ElectionBuddy. This page provides the details on how this election will take place. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to read through these guidelines and materials, to help ensure a successful transition of the Hawai'i State PTSA board.

We will be voting on the floor nominations shared during the 2026 Hawai'i State PTSA Convention on June 27, 2026
STATE BYLAWS AMENDMENT DETAILS:
State Bylaws Amendment details were emailed to Local Unit Leaders on May 31, 2026. Further details are available online at docs.google.com/document/d/1zXxopSRGkC7315Jo0iWrOXArVGgvuUef25Z1Lf-WJD4/edit?usp=sharing
VOTING DELEGATE DETERMINATION PROCEDURES:
Per the Hawai'i State PTSA bylaws (Article XVIII, Section 2), “each local unit shall be entitled to be represented at the annual convention of the Hawai'i State PTSA by its president and three (3) other officers, or their alternates, and one (1) additional delegate for every fifty (50) members in good standing per rosters and dues submitted…”.
To expedite the process, these delegates will automatically include the following positions: President, (1st) Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. For local units with more than the standard four (4) voting delegates, delegates will be selected based on the order of the submitted board roster. Names/contacts will be based on board data captured in Givebacks dated on or before 11:59pm on June 27, 2026.
VOTING WINDOW:
Voting delegates will have the opportunity to use the ElectionBuddy system to vote between on 12:00pm on Sunday, June 28, 2026, and 11:45pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
ELECTION RESULTS ANNOUNCED (HERE):
Election winners will be announced online before the end of the day Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

- 6/27/26 – Convention held but quorum not established for election.
- 6/28/26 – Notification of virtual election and voting procedure provided to all voting delegates.
- 6/28/26 – 6/30/26 – Voting window. Deadline to vote is 11:45pm on Tuesday, 6/30/26.
- 6/30/26 – Election results announced.
